My big question deals with the human psychological state of anxiety. Specifically, I want to explore three main questions: (1) what is the nature of anxiety? (2) to what extent is it genetic, environmental, cultural, or learned? and (3) how can one effectively manage or cope with their anxieties?
This is a really interesting question to me personally. I have family members that have suffered from anxiety issues, and so I am curious to find out if I will have problems with that later on if it is found out to be genetic.

Important topic. Many studies have focused on questions #2 & #3, will you look at #1 in terms of the family/culture/profession/other variables, or will you stick to individual psychology/neurology?
ReplyDeleteAri: I'd be happy to keep you posted as my research develops. :)
ReplyDeleteDr. Preston: I'm leaning more towards the psychology/neurology approach. This are the areas that interest ne most, so I think I want to stay true to that. I suppose that it ultimately depends on where the research takes me, but my focus will primarily be on the psychological and neurological factors/effects.
